Visit to Loch Voil again and then at home

Rowan made another westerly flight on 17th to Loch Voil and was then in the Loch Tay and Aberfeldy area to 20th, when she returned to her usual Angus hills

Another flight to Loch Lomond and back

Rowan flew off on 12th March to Loch Lomond via Killin and came back the next day, passingAberfeldy at midday and home by 4pm. Otherwise just in her normal area

Two big flights to Loch Lomond and back

Rowan has left her usual Angus haunts twice recently to fly to Loch Lomond – at least 125 miles each way. She was there around the hills at north of the loch on 24th February and then went back again on 5th March.  Why should she make such long trips. Are there no mates for her in Angus? or is it ecause the young female Eskin has tarted to live in the same area

A flight to Loch Lomond and back

Rowan left her usual haunts and on 23rd/24th was on the north side of Loch Voil in the Trossachs. Next morning at midday was on east side of north end of Loch Lomond before flying back to Angus. She was north of Crieff at 4pm, west of Blackcraigs at 6pm and in Glenmarkie at 8pm.

Rowan has been on the farmlands, roosting in shelter belts below her usual haunts near Auchnacree on 6th and14th February, and in hills during daytime

Recent home range

Rowan remains in same area in Angus within range of 4 square km north of Auchnacree – GPS transmissions started again with more sunlight
